Connect the Nations International Fellowship is a

non-denominational Bible-based ministry.

 

Our goal is to teach the Bible with the closest respect to it's original language and intent, to increase Biblical literacy around the world, and to provide an online worship center for all nations.

 

Since we work with people from different cultures, denominations, and backgrounds, we strive to create a healthy environment of discussion where beliefs might differ. We pledge to use commonly accepted versions of the English Bible as primary resources for discussion, not excluding Hebrew and Greek translations, while encouraging open discussion and a growing understand of God's Word together as the body of Christ.

 

Our community is open to believers and non-believers so that Christ may be known throughout the world.

We believe...

 

• God is holy and is worthy of our worship and devotion (Psalm 99:9). He is one God reflected in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20). God is love and his nature is always to act in the spirit of love (I John 4:16, I Corinthians 13:4-7, Romans 8:28). The desire of God's heart is to be united for eternity with his children whom he loves and who love and obey him in return (John 1:12-13, Romans 9:25-26, Revelation 21:7).

• Jesus the Son of God is the exact representation of the Father and is the sole source of our salvation (Hebrews 1:1-3, Acts 4:12). John 1 teaches us that Jesus is the living Word of God. As the Word of God, he was with God in the beginning and he was God. He created all things and gave life to all men. God sent his living Word to us in the human form Jesus, born of a virgin (Luke 1:34, Isaiah 7:14), to speak the exact words of God so that all men might see and know the Father and learn his commands (I John 2:5). Jesus was sinless (II Corinthians 5:21) and was crucified on a cross (Matthew 27:32-44) for the sins of all mankind. Jesus ascended into heaven and sits at the seat of authority and judgment known as the right hand of God the Father (II Corinthians 5:10, I Peter 3:22). Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus provides forgiveness, of sins, the power to overcome sin in this life, and the promise of eternal life for all who believe in him and receive him as their Lord and Savior (John 1:1-18, Romans 10:9, Hebrews 1:1-3, I John 5:4-5).

• Jesus sends his Holy Spirit to all believers to remind them of his teachings (John 14:26), to place his love in their hearts (Romans 5:5),  to give them power from on high for the glory of God (Romans 15:13), to provide them with strength to overcome sin (Romans 15:16), and to impart spiritual gifts that strengthen the church and help to spread the message and love of Christ into the world (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12:3-8). The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment to declare the truth of Jesus to all men (John 16:8-15).

• The Bible is the only holy authoritative Word of God, embodying the truths of God, and is the complete source for understanding God's plan of salvation and will for mankind (II Timothy 3:15-17). The teachings of Christ in unity with all scripture will be the standard of judgment on the last day (John 12:48-50).

• Salvation is a free gift from our heavenly Father to all men who see themselves as sinners in need of God's grace and mercy (Ephesians 2:1-5). Those who place their faith in Jesus as their Savior, commit their lives to Jesus as their Lord, and remain in faithful obedience to his teachings are promised eternal life (John 14:1-17, Revelation 17:14). Salvation and righteousness are made possible only through the power and work of Jesus Christ and are received through faith in Jesus as the Son of God and in his sacrifice for our sins (Romans 3:21-26). Believers who hold to this testimony even through death will triumph over Satan and his power in this world (Revelation 12:10-12, 17).

• Judgment under God's wrath is reserved for those who do not receive or deny Christ's salvation and teachings. They will be judged in accordance with God's laws, will receive just punishment for their sins, be subject to God's wrath, and will be separated eternally from God after death (Hebrews 10:26-31, Romans 2:1-16, Revelation 20-22).

• The church is the body of Christ, under which Christ is the head (Colossians 1:18). Believers' faithfulness to the assembly of worship and fellowship as a priority is Christ's plan for his church. The purpose of the church is to gather believers together to walk in devotion to God's Word, prayer, worship, the Lord's Supper, service within the body of Christ, and love for one another. Believers gather together to encourage one another and strengthen one another in faith, while sharing the wonders and teachings of God to each other and to those who do not know Christ (Matthew 6:33, Acts 2:42-47, I Corinthians 14:26, Hebrews 3:13). We apply these teachings to our international fellowship / online house church.

• Baptism into water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is performed when a believer of Jesus commits wholeheartedly to turning away from his former life of sin and live a new life of following Jesus. Being raised out of water, the believer enters into a new life that with increasing measure reflects the spirit, life, and teachings of Christ. The power of this life-changing transformation is made possible through Jesus's death, burial, and resurrection and through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6, Romans 8:1-17, Colossians 2:9-15, I Peter 3:21).

• The Lord's Supper is to be celebrated often and regularly as a time for believers to remember the sacrifice that Christ made for our sins. For this reason, believers examine themselves, which may include their faithfulness to Christ, their sins, and their relationships within the church body, prior to taking the bread and cup. As believers, we take the bread and the cup that represent the body and blood of Jesus to remember Jesus’s sacrifice with deep gratitude, turn away from sin, renew our commitment to Christ, restore our relationships within the church, and rejoice over our salvation and God's ongoing forgiveness for our sins (I Corinthians 11).

• Confession and repentance of sin is God's ongoing plan of purification in the life of believers and creates an environment of true and genuine fellowship within the church (I John 1:5-10). All men have sinned (Romans 3:23) and therefore have equal need to confess regularly to other believers, not that we would condemn one another, but that we might through grace pray for, encourage, instruct, and strengthen one another in faith and love (I Thessalonians 5:14, James 5:16). ​

• Our purpose as believers is to walk in a faithful relationship with our heavenly Father (Micah 6:8), characterized by devotion to God's Word and to prayer (Acts 2:42), to love one another as Jesus loves us (John 13:34-35), to serve Christ with our gifts and talents (I Peter 4:7-11), and to be the light of Christ to our world, bringing glory to his name (II Corinthians 4:5-6, Luke 11:33-36). As believers together with the body of Christ, we are to make sincere followers of Jesus from all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and helping one another to obey all that Jesus teaches (Matthew 28:18-20).

• Christ will return to gather all believers to himself when all nations have heard the saving message of the Gospel (Matthew 24:3, 14, 30-31).

No statement of faith can embody all the wonderful and powerful truths that the Bible contains; however, our goal is to build a fellowship of all nations founded on these fundamental scriptural teachings, while growing together in faith and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
